I was told at my local gun range that "small frame" hand guns are not allowed. This apparently included my Kel-Tec 9mm. Sig Sauer .380 ACP and Bernardelli .22 LR. I can accurately hit a target with all of them from 25 yards away. I thought small frame meant guns like the derringer.

would like to obtain these rounds for my Cobray/leinad 45/410 Derringer double barrel, Does anyone know if you can used standard 45 shells in this gun?

I just picked up a Cobra CLB-9 Derringer in 9mm Luger. It's the big model, has nice wood grips and a chrome finish. It's a nice looking little derringer, but when the breach is closed and locked the barrels can be wobbled up and down a little bit. Not a lot, probably less than a 32nd of an inch, in fact too pieces of black tape (one on the bottom barrel, and one on the receiver) tightened it right up. It's still enough to make me wonder if these derringers are just built to be loose like this or if this things going to blow up in my hand if I try to shoot it!
So If anybody has any experience with these Cobra Derringers, I would greatly appreciate your advice, thanks!

I came across this gun & I'm wondering what it's worth. I know it's really old. It still shoots. I tried to do searches online, but couldn't find the RG-15 model. If anyone can help out w/anymore info or a website I could go to, I'd appreciate it. Thanks!

I was browsing at a gun store and came across the Cobra Big Bore .38 Derringer. I've always been curious about Derringers, but does anyone that has used one have an opinion? I would only want it for concealed carry, and I realize it won't be the most accurate gun with the super short barrel, but what about quality? Any opinions are appreciated!

i like them small and it fit in your pocket and it shoots like 3 bullets .. small but cute and dangerous and do you have to get a lincesne in washington state for it??

Ok, this is just some excerpts of a short gangland story I wrote. I welded the bits together so it follows but as you will find it ends abruptly. Most people tell me my writings great bu t one English teacher said it was horrible and was too descriptive and complex. I just want some feedback please.
ps. apologies in advance for the language- it was required :)

a?Why are we even here? F**kina boss hasn'tat got a clue a?bout the sh** that goes down in this dump.a? a?Just keep your mouth shut pal, once we get to the spot I donat want a f**king word out of you, got it?a? a?Chill man, Iam just sayina that the big guy could be two men down after this little meet.a? a?Hey, f**k you, at least keep some hope, this sh** could go down alright.a? a?So what the f**k are we doina here anyway?a? a?I told you, we just gotta apologise to them for takina down one of their girlas then we leave. Ok?a? a?Whatever man, just keep that Derringer close, alright Raph?a? As Mercel said this he pulled out a picture of a young, pretty women, kissed it, and then put in back into his shirt pocket. a?Alright, were here.a?
It was dark, cold. The slow drumming of rain was ear splitting against the utter silence engulfing Mercel and Raphael. Their hoods of provided some relief, but for the chaos which ripped through their minds in the thoughts of what was about to go down. Shadows of malice and evil were cast off the pair as they stood under the dull light of a nearby factory. Through the light and rain they were blind. Aware, yet oblivious to the impending danger. Raphaelas pocket Derringer dug painfully into the flesh of his ankle, but he dare not even cast an eye down to inspect it. For all he knew they were watching them now, waiting for them to lose concentration, even for just a second to be on top of them. No guns, that was the agreement, but they knew the gang well. His Derringer was a safety net for him, for both of them.
From the haze beyond light and rain a shadow appeared, followed by another, and another. Three huge men stepped forward into the light and towered over Mercel and Raphael. All three were wearing long, black trench coats with a single flame emblazoned on the pocket. This, along with the Desert Eagleas in each of their hands was the C.T.C.V gangas trademark identification. a?Whoa, holy sh** man, I thought we said no guns, let alone those f**kina cannons.a? Raphael spoke with fear but tried to cover it with his cheesy grin. a?Then what the f**k is that?a? queried the middle member. And raising his gun he let two shots rip into Raphaelas ankle. Fountains of flesh and blood erupted from the wound and Mercel collapsed back in horror at the sight. Raphael was left yelping in pain, clasping his leg, which was now a good 12 inches shorter. a?You didnat think you could toy with us and get away with it did you?a? The middle member smiled to reveal a gold tooth and a half a tongue. At this point Raphael lost conciseness through a haze of blood and Mercel brought himself to his feet to avoid a red pool readily forming before him. a?f**k, F**K! Are you okay man, camon f**kina wake up man. What the...what the f**k man...whyad you f**kina shoot him you son of a b*tch?a?
a?Heres the deal buddy, you kill one of us, we kill two of you. Got it? So if I was you Iad start f**kina running to tell your boss who owns this joint.a? Mercel was still, he was blind with terror and blood. a?I SAID, START F**KING RUNNING!a? exclaimed the middle man, who seemed to be in control of his group. At this Mercel began to stumble backwards, vomiting as he did so, rain tearing at his face, cleansing him of his partneras blood. As he turned to begin running four shots rang out in the small factory courtyard, each causing Mercel to wince with pain at the thought of his friend, who has stood by him for the past four years being killed in cold blood.
Through his tears and the wind Mercel did not hear a fifth shot being fired, nor did he feel a thing as the red hot lead entered his back, seared through his heart and exited through his shirt pocket.
Mercel Bryans collapsed; leaking blood onto what was a photo of a young women.

in the simpsons episode who shot mr burns, there were several clues and red herrings as to who the shooter was. the ones that you probably noticed were:

when mr burns feel onto the sundial he points to W and S. this is not to help full as there are many characters with those initials (this ends up standing for maggie simpson)

in part one mr burns says, "just like taking candy from a baby. hey that sounds like a laugh." when he is shoot by maggie he says he feels like celebrating indicating that he whats some candy.

when mr burns staggers towards the sundial after having been shot you can briefly see that his gun from his suit is missing.

However there were also some clues and red herrings you may have missed:

when mr burns says, "witch of you has the guts to stop me?" everyones eyes shift around as if they want someone else to do it for them, except for one person, the only person who keeps her eyes firmly on mr burns with a angry look is maggie.

when some people are seen stroking guns,Skinner has a silenced handgun, Moe has a shotgun, Barney has a derringer, and Smithers has a standard handgun. this meens that the skinner moe and barney could not have shot him as the sound and damage of the shot would have been different, yet smithers has the right gun for what happend.

just before homer spraypaints his name in mr burns office while at his care, there is a sign with a arrow above it in only. for a split second homers head covers up all the letters except NO and the arrow is pointing towards him.

during a scene in moes taven, the tv shows a advert for pardon my zinger. in the advert it says that the show starts at 3 pm on comedy central. later in the town meeting, smither says that he watches comedy central and never misses pardon my zinger however mr burns was shot at 3 pm.

when smithers leaves the town hall he is seen going in the opposite way to what mr burns goes.

there were lots of refrences to the number 3 in the episode and in the episode before part 1:
the opening titles to part 1 shows the time as 5 to 3
the time that homer hands in his letter is at 3
the number of times that bart has been supended according to lisa is 3
the amount of enemies that mr burns takes out is 3 (moes taven, the school and the old age home)
the number of times that mr burns forgets homers name in part 1 is 3
the.
this is to do with the fact that mr burns was shot at 3 pm and also could be a hint that the shooter was 3 years old.

did you notice these or not and did you notice any other clues?

also what did you think about it being maggie?

i personaly think it was good and not just a cheap ending because the clues did come toghther and make sence.
(and at least it was not as bad as the dallas, who shot J.R, conclusion!)
i know it was maggie thats why i said it at the bottom!!!!!!!

I recently acquired 2 pistols and I am unsure as to their value. One is a Hi-Standard Derringer DM101. Blued, in good condition in .22 mag.

The other is a Para-Ordnance C7.45 LDA Stainless. What are their values?

I'm looking into start carry a compact pistol on me at most times, and I'm pretty active, I run, jump, move around a lot. My built is thin/medium and I'm 160 pounds and 6'4 tall. I need something small, I have a Western Derringer in .357 made in Germany the whole gun is smaller than the size of my hand, I'm wondering if this is a good choice to use for concealing. If not I'm wondering if this is a good choice, like I said I need something small because I don't wear loose or baggy clothes, normally tight or normal fitting, but I do wear boot cut jeans if this would help for a ankle holster. My father has use his GLOCK 27 for concealment but he wears work jackets and thicker clothes so this won't work for me. What do you think I should go with?
I'm not picky in the caliber for the gun, but I'm not a fan of the 9mm, I'm more leaning towards a 40S&W or a .45ACP but I think that they normally are too big for what I need, so would a .357 or 38 be better for this?

I am thinking of getting a Cobra .22 magnum derringer to carry with me when i travel as a protection gun. I have chose the gun because it is small and looks easy to handle. I am a 21 year old woman and have shot pistols before. I just dont want to own anything for myself that has a harsh recoil. I want something i will enjoy shooting. Any advice on this particular gun would be greatly appreciated.

So what do you think?
Ahh Forgot to add some more
Killsbury you should know that the section of questions is on Rock and Pop

I know that such guns are, at best, a third-choice defensive weapon. Still, there are times when you just HAVE to leave the pistol-gripped Mossberg in the car, and drawing your Browning Hi-Power from the small of your back may not be an option.
Also, in some old western movies, people are depicted as having derringers tucked up inside their shirtsleeves. Can you recommend anybody who makes the necessary equipment for this?
This is what I like to see, plenty of suggestions. Let's see what else pops up.

I own 1 Shotgun, a 12 Ga. pump, 3 Rifles, A 22 automatic, a 303 British bolt action,and a 30-30 lever action, 3 handguns, a 9mm Hypower pistol, a 32 H&R revolver and a 22 cal derringer. I really love these guys and have had them for years. Am I OK or a Nut?

I have already searched on google and found out a thing or two about this pistol, but i can't find a picture to match. I bought this gun at an elderly man's garage sale. It came with a ramrod and muskets but doesn't have any flint. on the top of the barrel it says Derringer Philadelphia (not philadel) also says black powder only including a Serial#. I was wondering what year these were made and the value of the pistol

I'm looking to buy an inexpensive pocket gun. I have the subcompact XD 9mm but I still don't find it small enough to be comfortable or concealable enough for everyday carry. Any one have suggestions on the Ruger LCP or Kel-tec P3AT? I am thinking of picking up one of those, but neither have a saftey. :( Or any other gun you can suggest atleast .380 or better that is really really small (and inexpensive) No derringers! Thanx!

I have had the gun about 35 years and it was very old and in pieces in a cigar box when i got it. it has no markings other than the stamped # 126 under the area where the barrels break over for loading. It has progressive triggers and dual hammers.

I mean everything, not only semi autos here, derringers, single shot pocket pistols, everything.
I remember a bit ago, like 5-6 years ago, I looked in a gun buyers guide in the special category of handguns and seeing a small single shot break open handgun, capable of fitting in the palm of a person's hand, the barrel was tiny, probably the length of the cartridge. it had a square shape when looking at it from the side, and it had a trigger guard just big enough to fit you index finger in, also the handgrip was black and the barrel had a stainless steel look to it.
I'd like to hear about any other guns that fit into this category.
I'd like to add that it didn't have a hammer either, it looked like a toy.
sorry, not the right gun, this gun was tiny and it was break open, not with a screw in barrel, i've already looked at this gun before, it's not the right gun, it's a modern gun, not from the 40-50's

Of course a leagel one. I need shipping to germany also, maybe to my gun dealer. Thanks a lot

she is getting her concealed carry permit soon , and would like a handgun with little recoil { not a revolver , she wants a semi-automatic } because she does not have a lot of upper body / hand strength . i have a sig-pro 2340 in .357 sig and .40 cal. and both are way too much for her. she has a derringer and a 9mm llama i bought for her some time ago , but the llama is a little heavy and bulky for her. i am thinking about a .380 , but because i do not own one , i was wanting opinions on brands , and some advice from people who have had this problem { no strength } and what gun they ended up chooseing. i am trying to stay within a budget , so please no elite and expensive guns. any and all advice is appreciated.
my mom does know how to shoot and clear jams. she has experience shooting { she and my dad taught me , and i worked for an armored car company for 8 years, so i have have professional training also } , she has had cancer and her arms are...weak .. from the chemo she had years ago. she just can not seem to build her muscle mass back . those are the details i forgot to add..sorry about that.
i need to add this : i will let her pick her own gun , i want it to be the right one for her . the fit will be important , and i want her to be happy. it will be a christmas present for her.

i like casey derringer but i dont think my gf does! but i only got about a week left so please help me!

I've decided to arm one of my characters with one of these pretty little derringers, and I'm just curious, once it is unhostered for the first time what would it smell like?

you can assume that its been fired and its old.

would it be a metallic smell or oily or smell like fired gunpowder (which, how the heck does that smell?) can you by any chance, not only answer this odd question, but relate it to someone who's great gun firing experience was one day of qualifying 12 years ago at boot camp?

Thanks!

As far as old-fashioned handguns, I always thought that the derringer was one of oh-so coolest guns ever made. I'm actually think of getting one. Movie-wise, does anyone know of any movies that showed the quick-draw 'wow' aspect of the derringer?

It is a two shot LR, with mother of pear handles. It was my fathers gun. I cannot find out anything about this particular gun on the internet. Thanks for your help.

for pocket, middle of back or ankle carry.

I have a small .32ACP derringer and just thought what a great high capacity round this would be for a semi-auto pistol for target shooting. Just think...you could probalby get 25 - 30 rounds in a full size handgun. Does any one make one? Or is their a manuafacturer that makes a high capacity clip for one.

Ok here it is THIS IS NOT BECAUSE ROXEL JUST DID THIS I've been working on this list for a week.

Oh man! I coulda sworn I put REM on here! Dang! I'll revise this thing, though.

Not expensive, but priceless in a pinch for sure. Thanks

The wooden box is nicked and scratched in several places but the velvet and satin lining is perfect.

The guns are in great condition.

I'm the sound designer for a production of Assassins by Steven Sondheim. In the show are the 9 different guns that were used to attempt or successfully assassinate a president.

The guns are as follows:
- .44 caliber Derringer (John Wilkes Booth)
- Mannlicher-Carcano bolt action rifle (Lee Harvey Oswald)
- .32 caliber Iver-Johnson "Safety Automatic" hammerless revolver (Leon Czolgosz)
- .22 caliber Rohm RG-14 revolver (John Warnock Hinckley Jr.)
- .44 Webley British Bulldog revolver (Charles Julius Guiteau)
- .32 caliber Smith & Wesson hammerless pistol, 5 shot (Giuseppe Zangara)
- .22 snube nose caliber revolver, don't know the manufacturer (Samuel Byck)
- .45 Colt semi-automatic, this one i can get fairly easy (Lynette Alice "Squeaky" Fromme)
- .38 caliber revolver Smith & Wesson, 5 shot nickle plated with 4" in. barrel (Sara Jane Moore)

Now i know i most likely will not be able to get that specific with the SFX, but any help to get close is appreciated.

Help!

I just purchased a model 360 scandium .357 for concealed carry and wondered what other owners thought of this awesome little gun. i'm going to shoot target with .38 +p and run .357 mags with concealed carry. i've actually shot derringers with .357 so it's not that crazy to run that round in the 360. also concerning frame strength and reliability -s&w has guaranteed me that this gun will stand up to .357 mag rounds as long as you can take it and then some. also i put a hogue monogrip installed before i even took it home. trigger pull feels great even out of the box.. any ideas on holsters -i like the synthetic variety -shoulder carry and possibly other carry. any input well appreciated-thanx.

what kind of rubber band gun do you have? i have a gatling gun and a derringer

I am a big fan of music. I also like a fairly wide variety. Though, I'm not really into the newer mainstream stuff. I despise rap (no offense meant) and the rock which is labeled "emo" (again, no offense meant). Here is a list of the musicians on my iTunes library. However, this list doesn't even compare to the bands/artists in my CD collection. But, if there is a band or artist that you think I may not have and think I would like, please say so! Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks!
